HELLO, I’M JULIE!

My mission is to make education fun and interactive, both in the classroom and at home. Join me on this exciting journey of knowledge and creativity, where every child can learn and grow in a colorful, hands-on environment.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I am a mom to two children and a wife to an amazing husband. I dedicate most of my days to educating my children and shuttling them to extra curricular classes. When I’m not busy being a mom and teacher, you can find me enjoying a hot cup of coffee, wrapped in a cozy blanket, and engrossed in a good book.

MY JOURNEY TO HANDS THAT PLAY

I began my journey by attaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. When we started a family, I made the decision to stay at home and care for our children full time. From an early age, we made most of our play time education based. From creating home made sensory bins to scavenger hunts, all of our play involved elements with a focus on growth and development. With the onset of the pandemic in 2020, I made the decision to keep my children at home and started a more school based curriculum for first grade. By keeping my first grader at home with my preschooler, I was able to pour my creativity and knowledge into their education. Not only did I have fun creating various activities, but my children enjoyed learning and playing at the same time. It was then that Hands That Play was born. My hope is that our resources and activities will help your children grow and develop in a way that prepares them for years of learning ahead.
